All I ever got was "failure to protect mission critical resources."

that is when you are not IN the buggy i think...

I went front first into an oncoming train while driving the buggy and it said this.

Because you don't die from the impact, but the buggy does...I semi-hit the train and jumped out while it was rolling around but the buggy ate it. Dog looks mighty fine with high quality textures, nothing beats full detail

Meaning it doesn't matter whether you're in the buggy or not

Lol whenever I died I got no message- too l337 it didn't know what to say ;-)

Also the strider charging ray- I saw it like once in game, they don't tend to do it often- probably because I never stood still whilst fighting them, I found it best to stay below them or hidden safely.

Forceflow any chance of getting a bigger version of that red pic- would make a cool background!

Is it me or is the red pic a bit pixelated? [addsig]

It is, because of the water shaders...

I find it too 'reddish' anyway...

Mhh, anyone knows where Cassius got that new avatar from?

So Cassius is the one they used as a template for Alyx, I suppose?

Just in case, I meant his new avatar...

From the picture I quoted on the last page. The avatar text is from Tupac. [addsig]

Yeah, I agree. But doesn't it feel good to push that washing machine into the basket? I don't know any other game that uses such physics system in the gameplay.

Don't have any higher quality version from it. The HL2 Jpeg compressor buggers screenshots op from time to time.

Set jpeg_quality 100 in the console for slightly better pics if you haven't done so in your autoexec or whatnot or while taking screenshots - It makes the quality better than the default 90.

Alternatively you can get full quality TGA files by binding a key to "screenshot" in the console.

What? Don't you think that a picture of a young woman fending off some creepy dude with a crowbar's lecherous tendencies is very representative of him? I think it fits him to a T. [addsig]

i wasn't thinking of just Cass, but no i do not.. course thats nothing new, i often chose the other side of things.

more to the point, since you brought it up.. i look at your avatar, i think of you.. it could be because you have retained it so long, but i don't think thats it.. you are not shy, you speak up when its necessary, and when you do its usually appropriate.. the avatar you use is fairly representative of that.. those particular monkey's are often quiet, till someone ventures within their sphere of influence.

other people, their avatars are almost in opposition to their real personality. no i won't point any out, because it would draw them into a conversation that they may or may not want to be in.

other change theirs weekly.. i used to myself. it took me ages to find one that suited not only my self image, but one that other should see as well. i see myself as a well of knowledge. a shallow well to be sure, but i give all 100% of it away. others see it as a broken faucet, one that needs replaced.. but still it fits their image of me. others see it as an old faucet, one leaking but not totally useless. in the end, you can look at it and see me in one form or the other, but all fit.

/ rambling
