I think my favourite has got to be the original in the way of the story line. If you feel like it, pick to favourites!

OP4 was quite good although it was a 'sequel' you could say, but it had that zing factor. [addsig]

Why would you ever NOT include HL2 in that poll?

Technically, you could count Blue Shift and Opposing Force as a single game. If you pay attention to the games, blue shift ends around the point were opposing force begins. It's quit intelligent really; makeing the two games in such a way makes it seem reasonable that the two main charecters never see each other.

Opposing Force was good, but Blue Shift would have been better. Better if the game was longer with more better weapons. Blue shift made me feel sad, sad from the lack of plot and length.

Strangely, i like Uplink's atmosphere and gameplay more than i liked the original's. The eerie sounds, airstrikes, falling debris and the overall tension... [addsig]

Yeah, I want my hour and a half of beating it back.

Opposing Force.

The best for me is OP4. I like work in team (marines with siencists vs aliens). [addsig]

Blue Shift was originally a small 'bonus' episode for the Dreamcast version of HL which unfortunately never saw the light of day. It was never intended as a stand-alone retail product, but I guess Gearbox didn't want to just stick it on a shelf to gather dust. [addsig]

I liked Blueshift. I really think there went good thought in that small add-on. Although OpFor was longer and perhaps more intense and all, Blueshift had that... more detail to it. Not just the level design but also the story, the gameplay. It surely could've been more and better, longer, but as it is now I think it really is a small gem...

I liked Blue Shift the most. The puzzles seemed to be a bit more creative, and the "old labs" section was excellent. Oh, and the trainyard battle... Wow. OpFor was okay, but I really didn't like those 2 giant worm-things you had to fight.

You forgot Decay on the list.

That was for the PS2 version of Half-Life only. And so you all know, the Ps2 Half-Life is a slightly tweaked version of the orginal HL -- slightly better map structure, and slightly better monster placement.

But yes, if Decay was on the list, Decay would have been my choise

The end monster in OPFOR was dissapointing. I expected an exciting fight to put my skills to the challenge. Instead, i found myself running from one laser to the other for 30 minutes. And the chapter before "Foxtrot Uniform", the one with the long one-eyed worm, is a copy of "Blast Pit" from the original . [addsig]

Blue Shift was short and all, fewer enemies than the original, less weapons, much shorter. However, I liked the ending.

I felt the ending of the original HL should have been like that. When I beat HL for the first time, I felt like I was going to break the TV set, I hated the ending so much! :O

I think endings in games are something you are never going to please more than 50% of people with.
