Is there a way to stop Windows from reminding you to reboot after installing new Windows updates?

I could do that, but sometimes I don't want to, and then I'd greatly appreciate if I could turn those annoying popups of.

you mean those annoying ballons?
run--->regedit
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvanced]
if there is "EnableBalloonTips" already then change it to zero, if it isnt, make a new Dword with a value of zero
I got that from here: http://www.tweaktown.com/document.php?dType=review&dId=324
it makes for a great guide to turn those annoying things off and actually improves your computer performance.

Looks like a balloon:

Seems like the registry thing isn't working or I'm doing something wrong.
I checked [HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvanced] and couldn't find the "EnableBalloonTips". Therefore, I right-clicked -> New -> DWORD Value and renamed it to EnableBalloonTips, with "Value data: 0" and "Base: Hexadecimal". Like this:

The reminder is still coming
I'll restart now anyway, but I'd be glad to know how to cure this little problem until next time.

okay then type in msconfig and click the startup tab and uncheck
evrything (this makes it so your computer doesnt start anything up when
you turn on...specifically anything in that area) , and the regedit you
are doing it correctly, just make sure the value is zero and click
okay, but you need to restart for its effects to take hold.

I guess it didn't work because I hadn't rebooted. Thx for your help.
