how long do you think 400Mb would take to download on 56kbit? Anyway, the problem has resolved itself now, something to do with my firewall.

400Mb would take me near 3 weeks to d/l
I'm only able to connect to the internet after 10pm as other people use the same phoneline in our household (after 10 nobody tends to call/need to use the phone). So I get a total of about 1-2hrs each evening to d/l things. As you can imagine, 400Mb would take a fair while - and then Sod's Law will strike and the file will appear on a magazine cover CD about a day after you've finished d/ling the damn thing

Haha, I used to have the exact same 10pm limit, the solution is stay online until 2

i dont think i'd be too keen on downloading 400mb on a 56k connection if i knew that the software was still a buggy beta. i know they said it was the finished article, but i really don't think so. it will probably show up, stuck to some mag cover, once they get it sorted.
