I got it in about 45 minutes. I just left my computer and ate breakfast and read the newspaper.
However, when I got back, Hammer has problem loading up the game config file for HL2. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a quick fix? I probably have to mess around with the directory. If anyone else has figured it out already, please post it here to save me some time. I greatly appreciate it.

Yea, its not in the sample content folder, it's in the sourcesdk/hl2 or sourcesdk/cstrike folder. Apprently clicking refresh game configs in the sdk fixes this.
If you get disconnected it won't be lost, you can resume from where you left off.
hmmm........HL2DM will be ready in 6 minutes, and I just clicked it

What is with all this crying? Back in the day they would release 100 meg patches like the TFC update that you had to download or else you couldn't play, and I managed to download the whole thing with a 24.4kbs AOL connection... and now I'm going to download this 100 meg patch with a 24.4kbs AOL connection

the thread and I thought your screenshot was part of my steam.
The SDK loads signifigantly faster now, horrah.

SDK load time has never bothered me, I always launch hammer from a desktop shortcut that has always opened hammer immediately.

Nope. It affects all of the apps in the SDK for me as well, not just Hammer. and I was looking forward to using FacePoser.

EDIT: Will some make a tut on face poser please? I have no idea how to use the damn thing!

You mean it's not like when I was downloading HL2, where if you stop downloading you can resume from that point later on?

Guess I got lucky, because my update seems as though it is only going to take 9-10 minutes. Hopefully it still runs fine.

I love only living a few hundred miles away from Valve.
(Doesn't really mean much since they have many servers around the world, so to speak.)
