..hint...
anyway, thats a bit slow for futuristic vehicles, 20mph :/
gotcha
the formula is here BTW. I messed it up but tis fixed now...
(N x 0.000621371192)
(T x 3600)
also 20mph is SLOW ASS considering he RUNS at 14.5

look at the beginning of the thread., oh geez nevermind here it is!
In CTF mode there is an indicator that tells how far away you are from the flag. I simply got into bloodgulch and got "N" meters away
I shot and/or moved while timing the actions giving us T which stands for the time in seconds.
use the equation:
(N x 0.000621371192)
(T/3600)
And Goddammit! i f**ked up the formula again!!! Here it is FOR REAL!! Damn....
that's T DIVIDED BY 3600 not times.

I dont think the speeds really have much of a base in the real world. When you make a video game and are free from the ball and chain of "physics" and what not, you just make the game move at a speed that feels right.
Can you imagin running at like 8 mph in that game. Or driving across those reletivly small maps at 70 mph? It just would not work.
But I wonder, how close are HL2's speeds and distances?
I loved Halo, great multi player and a really good story. Plus all these little extras they snuck into the game, and Co-Op... that was the best part. But remeber people, your bashing halo fan boys, but to a halo fan-boy we are all just Half-life fan boys...
