My resolution is to gain 20 pounds since my fast metabolism has consigned me to the skinny life for far too long. [addsig]

This thread has become a weight-loss discussion! I want to bring it back to topic.

My fiance got upset at me this weekend because I spent two entire days mapping. I felt very bad, so I made a promise to myself that I will not map when she's around.

Now, this may not be as difficult as some of you might think. She works in another State, and only comes back to our apartment during the weekend. So I'll still have the rest of the week for mapping. I am only working part-time currently, therefore there is tons of free time during the day.

Sometimes she brings things back in perspective for me. Otherwise, I would be spending all the time in half-life without realizing that I am neglecting real life.

I realize I'm a bit late, but I was 300 miles from home drinking hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps on new years eve.

I have two main resolutions, and while they are recent, they aren't really related to New Years. I just lucked out that my introspection happened to occur at this time of year. My goals are:

a. Become less arrogant.

b. Avoid being judgmental of others.

I know for a fact that some of you have been on the receiving end of these flaws, for which I humbly apologize.

i kinda like the current level of arrogancy around here. its not excessive and can be worn like a badge by those whom have earned the title. since the snarkmark system is not working like i had hoped, this is a fair alternative.

course each of us have our limits on just how much arrogance we can tolerate, so the issue will always remain just opinion.

personally, i judge everyone on how much they have helped the community as a whole. not just selective pieces, but the whole site. there are quite a few old timers who have helped endlessly, and a few who have helped only marginally. sadly, there are some who have helped no one, or helped to only create discontent as well.

anywho's, the only ones not allowed to show any IMO are the guys so new that their "requests" in the editing/maps forums are their only contact with us. they are in no position what so ever to display even the tiniest bit of arrogance.

fortunately, these guys are few in numbers, with the new members whom are helping people more each day far outnumbering them.

bottom line, i will be one of the first to recognize unwarranted arrogance, and tracer.. you do not suffer this malady.

Thanks Orph. I do alright around here, in fact I do alright most of the time, but there have been instances in my personal life where I really blew it. Trust me, it's something I need to work on. It's good to hear that it doesn't show up very much though.
