stop going back to time travle! it just would not happen. Whould you go back in time, risk your life, etc. knowing that

1.) you'd create a parodox that would collapse the fabric of the universe

or

2.) going back in time and changing s**t would only change stuff in another dimention?!

no!

I think I'm going to play though HL1 again and think about it.

THe GMAN is not gordon in the future or anything like that. I think he is some being higher up than gordon. I think he may even be an alien in human form, He is agaist the combine so he may be a rebel alien alreadly of combine control trying to stop the combine from becoming more powerful with earth. I believe he knew what was going to happen at black mesa (Breen was admin of black mesa and planed the whole thing, except for freeman's intervention, with the combine's help thinking the combine would come to help and merge technology and make super advandced tehcnology with each other; he was wrong ) GMan knew blackmesa was going to happen and went to try and stop it. But he couldn't stop it. as he moved through black mesa he noticed a man in a hazard suit performing very well with the xen invasion. The xen invasion is another thing, Teh combine, who controlled the xen liek they control humans in HL2, sent the xen race's main part, the vorgitnuts, to start the invasion, becasue the combine where unable to teleport there yet, until gorodn lauched the satellite in the first game; that opened a portal for the combine to pass through freely. In HL1, when gordon fights Nihlithal, the breen like figure of the xen world, he frees the xen from combine control, this angers the combine and they invade full scale, but before this happens the gman confronts gordon and puts him into statis until he needs gordon next, which is HL2.

this is really interesting about the HL storty and GMAN

BTW backwards time travel is not inherently impossible, but if you tried to go back and kill your grandfather then gramps will always survive somehow (it's also possible he kills you in self defence!). [addsig]

I think you'd have to be crazy to seriously believe that G-Man has any resemblence to Data. Come on! [addsig]
