Come on, snarks are small green and dont have wings.

I dont think the ant lions have any ties to any faction in the HL world. Infact I dare say they are their own faction, much like snarks.

the HL2 snarks are just VERY big and can be seen walking in a straight line in the Citadel when you're being taken for a ride in those pods. They're below you. For mappers it's the "SYNTH" model. [addsig]

NO! there are no snarks!!





but.... I seem to recall that there is a HUD texture in the texture libray for hl2 that has some wepons that didn't make it in the game (flare gun, etc) and their may be a snark in there.

oh and to disprove the snark = baby antlion

why would snarks evolve into ant lions and then into those BIG controler ant lions.

also, antlions are blind and snarks have eyes. If they wern't blind then dont you think they would catch on that you wern't infact a big ant lion controler? think about it

I think snarks are a separate lifeform from the Antlions, having no evolutionary links. Snarks are full-grown creatures, and the "birth sacs" are their nests. Supposedly, the nests are symbiotic creatures which allow snarks to have a share of their energ/food because they protect it from attacks. I think so because the original Snark nest had a "walk" animation. I supose antlions are a Xen native not seen in the HL1 parts of Xen, maybe because they were suppressed by the native lifeforms.
