I have to put this warning out to everybody in my situtation on map editing(have VHE, CS 1.5). I had all my stuff working and evrything. Then, i steam installed CS 1.6. Total Disaster! It converted all the texture files that come with the game to steam files and so now i have to find replacements or something. I cant believe i didnt backup the texture files!! Any way, i thought id warn people.

I haven't yet installed steam and tbh the mor I hear about it the less I want to download it. The only reason I'd consider getting it is because all (but 2) of the BlueYonder TFC servers have converted to steam and I can't go there anymore now. Aw I miss my fwends

steam is very good once u have it working. Yes it hides all the wads but install cs somewhere copy the files & then del it.
Besides it has built in pm / steam windows system, You can run your games in 32 bit colour, Run at higher fps' & generally find games with friends allot easier.
Yes its a pain to start with, But its v good otherwise.
