Most current mod sites use dark colour schemes, especially the 40k ones
which tend to use a lot of black and grey, so I thought the site could
do with something a little different - glad you like it.
Thanks for the tips - I'll get to work on some proper metal! As for a
colour scheme, it could be done, though one of the vague ideas we have
for the mod is that you might be able to choose your own chapter.
The ice crystals are because of the mod theme - the whole thing takes
place on a snow/ice planet. This lets us have loads of special effects
(snow, mortars hitting packed snow, more snow etc.) and also provides
an excuse for the white background!
Button-wise, until I get Photoshop/ImageReady (which I should be
getting in a few days) I can only use the image mapping from the GIMP,
so at the moment the only way to display info is using a pop-up for
each button. Bit of a nuisance, but it will soon be replaced with any
luck.

Your text is pants. It floats too much. I'd try using a more neutral color, framing it better, and tooling around with different fonts.

Thanks for the tips. I agree that the text could do with a bit of a
change. I'm not entirely sure what to do with the icons in the middle.
They look diabolical because of the white gaps in between, but I'm not
entirely sure how to fix it. Any suggestions on how to improve them?
