I have heard word of a mod that brings back all the original monsters from hl1 to hl2 and still looks good!

Please... wot do you think?

Do you mean HL1:source? a piece of crap in my opinion, valve didnt change anything. Only difference is now the bodies react to ragdoll physics, the water looks better, and there are better sky boxes, but other than that I thought it was a waste of time (and money since I bought the silver package)

And HL1:S isn't a wast of money and time. Man, they moved it over to the Source engine, obviously you don't know what that entails.

Waste of my money and time (and what does it entail over regular HL1?), and yes the reason why i bought silver was for DoD:S cant wait till it comes out

New engine. Everything acts differently. The only separation between the way HL1:S appears and the way HL2 appears are: Models, Textures, and Map layout. The map layout can't be changed (or rather it wouldn't be worth changing), but the other two can be changed. Hell most of the models you need could be ported from HL2.

I know you don't really see why that's a big deal. So, never mind.

HL:S looks horrifically ugly, I'm afraid. Maybe worth a few minutes if you keep a copy of the HD pack, but otherwise...

I'm well aware it's hideous.
Apparently, some guy is actually porting models and maybe textures over. (He may be full of s**t though.)
