Anyone else besides me having difficulty with the site today?

screen load times are measuring in minutes

Minutes? No. But sometimes it doesn't really respond but when it does it's only a load of a few seconds. But it is less responsive than usual, Lep warned about the bandwidth recently though didn't he?

he mentioned another host soon.. but this is off/on

one page loads normally, the next............ a minute.

methinks its local. something between here and his host. its not effecting other sites, so its not my connection.

I usually get this problem around 3-4pm. Sometimes if I wait the page loads, but it keeps getting slower until it just doesnt load at all.

I doubt its a bandwidth issue, if the bandwidth is running out I wouldnt expect a host to bother with slowing the connection, theyd just auto-email Lep and shutdown the site when bandwidth runs out.

EDIT: I'm GMT +1030, so I get the problem around 5am GMT.

yeh me too, this site take years to open ( sometimes dont at all) and i have DSL 512.... [addsig]

Apparently the hosts get DDoSed quite a lot, so that might be why. If you try visiting and it doesn't work, go make a map

But what if you run into some trouble and need help from the forum? It's the greatest resource out there, but when it's down, you can't do anything but swallow your thumb.

Or do some programming... really refreshing...
Though I don't experience any problems with Snarkpit at the moment, it happened a few times past weeks that I wasn't able to open it. Usually that's gone after some hours but it was a bit strange.

Also I reccomend using the firefox speed boost, to make stuff load in the background.

I do have sometimes troubles with the images, such as the forum snarks dont appear, but meh.
