I can't see any normal person downloading the leak and then not buying the game. If Orph downloads it, he will still buy the game, he is just curious.
i like the vote of confidence bud, but.. i haven't downloaded it, not do i intend to.. my fear? its damned sure no one from SP ![]()
i fear the files may clash later and cause some sort of a conflict..
i want my install error free from step #1
sorry guys, i STEAL lots of stuff, if thats how you persist on viewing it, but not this..
if my reasons are not good enough for you, pick one that makes you all rosy inside and fool yourself into believing i am like that i don't give a s**t ![]()

*sniff* Orph doesn't steal the HL2 source code because he is too busy helping starving children in Africa. Doesn't that just inspire you?
as stupid as that may be, if i could walk to a child in africa and hand them the money, i would give till it hurt, but i refuse to donate one dime to a corrupt organization that benefits so well because others are in need..
i have yet to see a skinny starving volunteer on TV advertising "give to the needy"
but , nice comeback mike, you at least chose something noble, most of the assholes here would have been more apt to place me in a slightly different light ![]()

Too big a d/l, even if I wanted to. But Valve still need to get their arse in gear and stop flogging CS to death.
I'd rather wait for the real article - but then i'm a bit stupid like that, all my games, cds, dvds etc are originals. Just something good about having it in its proper packaging etc. and not some scummy CD-R with scrawled writing on it that's gonna go transarent if you leave it out in the sun ![]()

I'm sorry if i 'dissapointed you', but don't go and assume you know my reasons. Ever since i waited in line at E3 for a good 3 hours to see the hl2 demo, I could only imagine modding for the game. It made me sooo happy that it was relased on sept 30th - I literally counted down the days. Was i jones'n to play the game? yes. But i respect valve enough to keep my hands off their stolen property if it meant to only 'throw a tantrum'. Yes, i was pissed off about the released date being pushed back - everyone was.
This leak is 1.4gb, but only about a third of that can actually be seen in any of the playable maps... why would i want to play that? That's just stupid. BUT... i was told that you could get the new Hammer working. To tell the truth, i had given mapping for hl2 a lot more thought than playing hl2. (im sure SOME of you have, as well.)
Curiosity drove me to dl the leak, and inspiration drove me to keep using the new hammer. The mentality of "i'm a little kid, i dont want to wait in line" may apply here - but i wanted to reach the front of the line for much different reasons than all the other kids =/
Valve has secured me as a DEFINATE buyer of hl2 ![]()

heh, apparently the leaked version is 1.4 gigs, yet it's only around 2 levels from what I hear. I think gorbachev and orph are right to be disgusted, by downloading it and "trying it out" before the game you are part of the group of people who stole it, hence delaying the release of the game. the only upshot of this is that by april next year my comp will be fully loaded and so i'll be able to play it without agony
Theres only 2 levels that The AI works on..Theres like 10-12 maps all togather.

If i'm going to, it'll be a slightly extensive group of screenshots and mini-tutorials... so i'de rather not put snarkpit in jeopardy for the sake of a few people. I WILL BE GLAD TO... pending mr. leppy allows it.
as i said, send me a link, or zip, my damned email works i don't care..
*sighs*
software police make me ill
all i want to see is some damned pictures, if anyone here has a problem with that, .... well its my email and no one can say otherwise ![]()
some of us have our reasons for not downloading this pirated program, but if anyone has issues with seeing pic's of it, they need help.
i may not be downloading it, but i am definitely not against anyone whom has... it would be like me blaming you, if someone snuck into my yard last night and stole gas out of my car, its my fault not yours, i should have protected it better, but if you still have issues, contact me quietly.
