i think he set one up recently and may have a few pointers for you.

Ok!! its resolved.. all of our servers, were screwed due to the new nic that we put in the machine. The new nic (which was used for LAN, not incoming) was being used as priority...
Anyway.. sooo sorry for the problems, but it's all working now ; )

KoRn and I just had a quick blast on the server; shortly after Crackerjack joined, it crashed. The server is no longer registering.
Any idea what might have happened? I dread to think it might be my old friend Ed_Alloc: no free edicts.

yep it was some kind of softcode error... spirit of halflife isnt exactly the most multiplayer friendly mod =/
I'll bring it back up whenever it crashes, but it cant stay like this... so in a few days, ill set it to hldm... it's a snarkpit maps only server, so if you want you map sported.. just reply with a dl link =P

Er, could I have some more details about the error please, if you have them? There are two issues with regard to stability:
It would be useful to know whether the error is map-related or mod-related. Given that, how about testing another map under the same mod?
Sorry about this mess, but it is uber-useful to me to have an opportunity to test (and potentially debug) my mod and map. I am delighted to have played successful games elsewhere but also commited to making this product stable for as broad a range of situations as I can ![]()

It's probably a tad smaller but not by much.

Whenever there is any kind of server problem like this, it is one of two kinds.. engine failure or client failure. Engine being the DLL - and client being the map, rendering process, model keyframe errors, etc.. if it were a problem with your map, the server would have just sprang right back up and reloaded your map. Instead, it gives a nasty STOP error and closes hlds. I found the server with that nasty stop error, so i can definly say it was a problem with the engine, not your map.

Subsequent games have not had any problem so...*shrugs*.
