I seem to be getting some sort of nice error message lately which prevents me from using my microphone.. at all. Not ingame, not in Windows Sound Record. I've already googled and visited the Steampowered forums, but without any success.

I know you can't use your microphone for two things at the same time. But this just started recently. It did work before. I'm running a virus scan tonight.

Every so often, my microphone just stops working except in safe mode, and reinstalling the driver invariably fixes it.

Yes, I know safe mode disables one of your sound drivers, but I have others. [addsig]
