yeah, i suppose.

most people have desktop themes created by someone they don't even know. somehow that removes the "personal" aspect of a desktop IMO. people have been personalizing them since their inception, yet, they things they put on them are not personal at all.

It's probably a webpage... You can make webpages backgrounds, I remember I once had my favourites embedded into my background, and also a countdown clock which I made.

If you were really cunning you could put drop menus and java apps in the background, or even videos... One thing I look forward to is animated backgrounds, things like waterfalls and stuff...

I once tried to create a website background with several (framed) pages that would allow me to quickly open programs. Too bad you can't open programs from a website (or at least I don't know how to do that)...

And animated backgrounds... I thought that was fun at first, but those movements became quite annoying, and they slowed down my comp too...

Could be a different shell like Aston. I tried Aston once and that had tonnes of ways to change your desktop. Other than that... please tell us!

As far as I can remember that didn't work very smooth. Then again, it's quite some time ago I tried that... Mhh, perhaps I'll give it another go... perhaps.

Theres about 10 or so I can't see, the rest are easy to tell... You've got alot of games there though!

Just realised that the red cross icon in the games is one of the stock icons that come with Windows; that one's Sam and Max Hit The Road.

Desktop, adobe, adaware 6, search, macromedia[ freehand,fireworks,DW,EM and flash], Windows cd burning?, thunderbird, musicmatch?, nero quicktime, interactual player?, Unreal ed, hammer, winamp, WMP, winrar, yahoo msnger, yahoo pager thingy, IE [boo!hiss!], mirc, FF and msn messenger.
Does anyone know the rest of the progs?

that is one way to keep your desktop clean, any one know how to get rid of IE I want it on my quick lanch, but not first and when ever I move it to the back of the list it sneaks back to the 1st spot!!!
