While I don't really like modern anime (like Mechs, Lost love crap, etc) I would still like to have a channel solely based to anime. Quick note: If you hate anime don't both telling us, we believe you.

It looks pretty nice, and unique considering there isn't one anime channel (some channels show anime, but not ONLY) on television today.

Most "mech" anime sucks. However, there is the occasional exception, and you should clairify what you mean by mech... Gundam mech or Ghost in the Shell mech (I suppose you could call those tanks though). By the way, I would only defend one and only one Gundam series.

There are Internet TV channels which show nothing but anime, sadly it's always Love Hina or some bulls**t. I hate that show.

But, yes, that channel would rock. I know there are channels that show almost nothing but anime, however, they require digital cable or an extra plan with a satellite dish.

However, there's a fine line now when regarding "anime", since most American cartoons are animated and designed in Japan by the same studios (The Batman, for example, which is actually good, not as good at the early 90's Batman show, that show was SO good ... made in Japan too). [addsig]

I enjoy a only a small handful of anime. Kind of odd considering I've been to Japan, plan on moving there for a year + after I'm done college and I have just about everything else Japanese. It's just not something I really catch on with, I enjoy a few series of comics and say Ghost in the Shell, but other than that my extent for Japanese media is more in the games/music.

I just dislike Mechs in general Crono. The idea of piloting or fighting a giant robot doesn't appeal to me.

2 of my friends study japanology, which is kinda a weird coincidence cause theres only about 50 ppl that study it in belgium.

anyway, when i was a kid there was this show "club doroth?" on a French channel that had a lot of anime. Mind you, everything was dubbed in French, titles and themesongs included. You had: DBZ, Sailor Moon, Nicky Larson (about this guy that could shoot brilliantly and always ran after girls), Olive et Tom (soccer), Chevaliers du Zodiaque (Saint Seiya?). And you had brilliant live acting shows like Guiraya (?) and Bioman.

I still have those french themesongs on my pc, ahh the memories.

lol we all know that's South Park

I'm a big anime fan, though I'm pretty picky. There's so much anime, though, and in so many different subgenres, that for someone to not like anime they must just not like animation in general.

Anime channel would be nice, but I don't waste $$ on cable tv since I prefer to either download my tv shows or buy them on dvd. I haven't seen a tv commercial in months, it's great hehe.

"Subarashii chinchin mono
Kintama no kame aru
Sore no oto ha sarubobo
Iie! Ninja ga imasu

Hey, hey let's go kenka suru
Taisetsu no mono protect my balls
Boku ga warui, so let's fighting

Let's fighting love!
Let's fighting love!

Kono uta chotto baka
Wake ga wakaranai
Eigo ga mechakucha
Daijobu. We do it all the time!

Hey, hey let's go kenka suru..."

lol, great stuff.

? quoting Jinx
South Park

correctemundo

The song supposedly translates into:

This wonderful p*nis thing
And hair of t*sticles are here.
Is that the sound of a sarubobo?
No! It's the ninjas!
Hey hey let's go fight!
This is important: protect my balls!
I am evil, so let's fighting...
Let's fighting love!
Let's fighting love!

This song is a little stupid
It doesn't make sense
Its English is f**ked up
Is that OK? We do it all the time!

Hey hey let's go fight...

great stuff indeed

I live for Naruto and Bleach - newer anime's such as these just seem so much better than crap like Gundam, Vampire Hunter D (not that its crap as such, but nothing special IMO), etc... I do enjoy a few other series such as Excel Saga (oh the madness!), Get Backers (only seen a couple of episodes, but seems cool), GITS: Stand Alone Complex and the like, but I don't think I could be tied to one particular type of anime. Oh and while I've not come across that many mech anime's that appealed to me, Front Mission 3 and Phantom Crash are two of my favourite games and feature mechs in abundance. [addsig]

Love Hina was one of the first series I saw. Tbh I didn't like it. There was to much "kick Keitaro up in the sky" for my taste. And it took 25 episodes for them to kiss each other. >_<

You should check out that Winamp internet TV thing then. If you can get into the Naruto servers, I think you'd be a very happy man. [addsig]
