Actually, the girls kiss each way earlier, like half though the series or something. They act as if kissing is the biggest deal in the world. Wonder if they actually are that way in Japan.

Just a thought. I guess one can get quite a distorted picture of other countries and their people, like some people think that all swedish chicks are big-boobed, blond hotties.

Me not seen much proper anime [by which I mean not pokemon], although I have seen that episode in OtZman's sig [that is naruto isn't it?]. Full metal alchamist looked quite good, but only saw one or two episodes.

It sure is from Naruto. Good ol' Rock Lee. Full Metal Alchemist is a good series. A little like Naruto, but a little more scary and brutal at times. I recommend both series.

Not watched any for ages apart from Sprited Away and Princess Mononoke, but I used to watch stuff like The Guyver, Dominion Tank Police and Crying Freeman. There's also a whole bunch of films I don't remember the titles of (apart from Golgo 13) that used to show on Paramount - before it became Paramount Comedy.

Do shows like Belle & Sebastion, Mysterious Cities of Gold and Ulysses 31 count as anime?

Still haven't gotten around to seeing Spirited Away, but I did enjoy both Princess Mononoke and Laputa so chances are I'll really like it. A somewhat mech oriented anime that is well worth watching is Patlabor. The storyline is frighteningly like Front Mission 3 in places, which is sort of an added bonus in my opinion [addsig]

I liked it more then Mononoke... but a lot of people don't agree with me on that for some reason. Then again, a lot of people don't realize they have the same director and writer. [addsig]

Spirited Away is a MUCH different film from Mononoke. It's (Mononoke) quite beautiful in it's own right, but it's obviously geared towards a younger audience. It's still a very visually appealing movie though. [addsig]

Hmm. Looks like it's time for me to expand my collection a little.

Probably the hardest part of buying new anime is actually deciding whether you like it or not. I'm curious to see just how much variety the "anime network" actually has, since most of the things I have bought in the past I have either seen on Cartoon Network (evil) of TechTV (when it was still TechTV)
