Im thinking about making a site similar to SnarkPit.com but mines gonna be called RavenHolm.com (please dont take name)

Im very good with making sites, becuase i know HTML, Javascript, PHP, MySql, And Actionscript 2.0

And at the bottom of the site it will say inspired by SnarkPit.com,
becuase snarkpit it awsome, but my site will also have a feature where if the map is good will host it, and a few other fetures. but what do you guys think???

It's actually already been registered since 1995. I'm amused by Cassius's sentiment, however.

yeah your right its registered by a RavenHolm Computing company, but nothings on it

Okkkkaaaayyy. When pigs fly, I guess. Maybe you can "hack into my domain name" and just steal all of my code

Seriously though, I don't think you should bother as gathering from this thread and your website you won't be able to, and if you got help you'd get bored when no-one used it... Not that I'm scared of a little competition, I've crushed all who oppose me in the past and if you would like to 'compete' then be my guest What other "fetures" do you have in mind?

Oh sorry my bad, just relized that you made this site...
I had no clue, but just to let you know i wasent talking about you when i said hack in to computers, i was talking about the other guy....and also i love this site
Note: i said i was gonna put inspired by Snarkpit.com at the bottom of my Hl2 map site

and i dont want competition, even if i did i wouldent care if there was any, the link to your site will be at the bottom...so im not saying im gonna make the best f**king awsome ness half-life 2 map editing web site... id just thought it would be a fun little hobbie to do

When you come along and say "I'm going to make a site inspired by your website which does exactly the same and more", it's really just saying "I'm going to copy your website and make it better so people come to mine instead". If you're inspired, great, but make something else! What would people think if Bill Gates got up and said "we're inspired by Macs, so we're going to copy them but make them better but we'll put a sticker underneath saying we were inspired by them so it's okay" ?

As I said in my previous post, I really don't think you're quite up to doing this sort of thing yet. It's more than just making something with your (probably quite basic) PHP/Java/etc. coding skills!

And btw it also smacks of that really annoying CS "Oh I want to decompile and remake Dust and make it more fun" attitude, it is very n00bish attitude :/

hey..... what if a map was made where pigs fly? the Source engine would allow that allwe need is some piggy models and sounds!

and catapults! omfg!
