I'm really annoyed that you can' get in cover in multiplayer though...

I started an undead priest on Rexxar and she's up to level 29 right now.
I'm just doing Warsong Gulch battles over and over until I hit Sergeant. PvP is a part of the game I never discovered last summer -- I just found out how fun it is this week.

Sadly, of the last three game that I just "HAD" to own, I have either not played them, or only played them on a limited basis. These are relatively recent purchases.
$175.00 later, and I am still unsatisfied with gaming.
The only titles I want to see fruition now are Duke 4 ever and Fallout 3.
In fact, upon reflection, I have perhaps a dozen games I have bought that are left unfinished over the course of the past 3 years. ![]()
I have decided against spontaneous purchasing from now on.

It's incredibly fun. It's a sidescrolling action game, but it has a complex structure implemented through simplistic controls. It follows some of the same ideas in Ikaruga ... two modes, for you, and the enemy. Your mode is determined by the direction you're facing. (Which can be changed with the push of a button) There are several attacks for various positions and a shield that repels a like color attack ... and actually harms whatever it hits.
It's just fun.

First up was SSX: On Tour for the PS2. Sadly, they didn't have any of the Xbox version in stock, and while in general the game doesn't suffer for it (it looks and runs great on the PS2), the save times are a complete JOKE. Seriously, it's absolutely ridiculous. You complete an event, go back to the menu, and it autosaves. You then go into the shop and buy something, and on leaving, it autosaves. When you get back to the main map? It autosaves. Might not seem like a big deal, but for some unknown reason, autosaves take about 10 seconds each and every time. It's one of very few games I've come across with which you can't complain at load times, but sure as hell can about save times. Otherwise its great, if a little inconsistant in difficulty. Also, why in this day and age do some games seem to struggle for randomising things? The soundtrack has a lot of tracks to it, but I constantly get the same bunch of tracks playing. Doesn't let you set any sort of linear play order either to at least ensure you don't get a lot of repetition. Shocking. Buy it if you want a snowboarding game where simply riding round banked corners feels good though - I love the amped series for tricks (an area where it really does outshine SSX) but SSX rules the roost for general "riding".
The other game was Project Snowblind for the Xbox. Critically this game did really well and scored around 8 or 9 out of 10 in most reviews, but I've never spoken to anybody who played it and I guess it kinda bombed at retail. I grabbed it for a measly ?3 and though I think it seems to have been a bit overrated, for that money I can't complain. Some pretty cool weapons and augmentations (eg. visual enhancements, ballistic shielding, enhanced reactions (read bullet time)), and the action is thick and fast. Controls seem a little off to me though - the look control seems to have a bit too much of a zero-movement threshold, and then when you've moved the stick a little further it moves too quick. Its not game breaking, but its annoying.

The swimming controls are rediculous, one button to swim up, one to swim down, one to go forward and one to go forawrd fast. It might be fine on a side scrolling platform game but it feels extremely un-natural in full 3D. It would have been easier to simply have the swim movement decided completely by the movement thumbstick, and then have the two speeds of swimming like in the old game. You get used to it eventually, having to swim to certain depths in order to go through tunnels or press buttons, but it took me a good half hour of floundering around to get even basic control.
The vehicle sections is fair shocking as well. The bike has almost zero handling, its like trying to control a slippery brick. The original games had excellent vehicle control so its a real shock to see how much they've ballsed it up.
Other than that the actual tomb raiding is great, and the updated movement system is really nice. After seeing the vehicle sections I think I'd rather they left them out. The new score is 8/10.

Cute flash adventure game you should try out. Really something different.
Liquid Wars
A strategy game where you fight a war with... liquids. It's hard to explain but this game has Tetris qualities. I heared of that new gameboy with a touch screen. Would be ideal for it.
If you got Vapour (the alternative Steam with mod support) then you can download this in the stand alone games section. Also has a multiplayer.
kkrieger
You might have heared of that one. Actually it's a really bad FPS but the whole game has only 96 kb! 96 kilobytes! Another Vapour release. Check it out for the couriosity value.

I bought Far Cry Instincts/predator for my 360 and so far it seems to be holding my interest. I am well into the predator stage now, with my acute senses and quick physical attack skills, It definitely adds some variance to the gameplay.I am Playing on the highest difficulty level(as I always do). It seems as though the AI has been dumbed down from the PC version( there were a couple of times when my opponent just stood there ducking and cursing at me without any weaponry, and I could not kill him with any weapon), and I actually got stuck under a boat dock in one level, alittle dissappoinment there, as I was very near the end of the level.
Also, the controls are alittle sloppy. Most of the times I get fragged are when I am trying to aim with the joystick. Very slow and laggy, but then when it does start to move it's too fast and you overshoot your mark.
All in all, alittle less satisfying than the PC version, but a beautiful looking game with some very good gameplay at times.

It has dynamic shadows and such as well. It seems to be hl2 based, but I'm not sure. It's top down, very reminiciant of postal 1. The plot seems crappy.
But, check it out.

Seemed like not a bad game, given the budget price tag. I reckon it would be fun in coop.
