If she's in vegetant state and doesn't comprehend the world around her then she's not suffering. She is just being... alive. The only people who are suffering are around her. In cases like these I support euthanasia.

so in cases where the patient isn''t actually suffering, you support killing them?

In a way, yes. But you cant put it in black-white like that. If someone is braindead, like the woman in America a couple of months ago, then i support it yes. Even of someone isnt braindead then it might be better, if there just isnt a chance of recovering.

In a word, "Yes"
I firmly believe that its a case by case situation however. Some people prematurely extinguish any chance for a recovery, and some people extend someones life far beyond and chance at all.
I also believe that if you have not actually had to deal with this ordeal that your opinions on it are almost as unimportant as it can actually get without truly saying. "STFU"
I know people whom have had to deal with this. I mean, actually having to make the decision :"Should they live, or die"
It is very disturbing for me to hear people drone on and on about what "They" would do, when they have never faced ending a loved ones life before. Its so surreal. These people make it sound like changing a defective lightbulb they are so cavalier about it.
Yes, you can have a viewpoint, but you should also use a bit of tact when commenting so.... definitively.

Her parents are never married. The mother got pregnant when she was fifteen, and the father wasn't that much older. They don't even talk to each other anymore.
No one takes her to her regular appointment with doctors, but they are both too immature to make a decision like that. The mother plays around with her disabled daughter like a doll.
It's a sad sad world.

I mean -- I'm not fat, have no fat family members, and no fat friends (strange now that I think about it...) but that doesn't mean everyone who is fat is lazy. I'm f**king lazy and the only reason I'm skinny is I'm lucky enough to have a hyperactive metabolism.

...but you've conveniently forgotten the fact that you're a competitive swimmer.
I disagree with SpoolE too. Fat people are generally not lazy. However, they are typically misinformed on a healthy lifestyle and diet. They typically try to lose weight by fasting followed by binging. They typically select the wrong types of food. They typically like to skip meals (one of the worst way to have a healthy lifestyle).

Pretty much the heathiest way you can eat is no big meals and snacking of course, all summing up to the proper amount of energy you typically burn in a day.

Yet another case against premarital/adolescent sexual activity.
That's just WAY too young... Kids having kids for the sake of looking mature. Irony, i think.

Actually, the word is hoard.
I'm slightly overweight, but it doesnt bother me. I walk for at least half an hour every weekday, I do stairclimbing and distance walking (there are lifts but I dont use them, and the bus stop is roughly 10min walk from uni). I guess I dont eat well, but meh.
