I learn best by example. If you think me trustworthy enough not to steal your work, I am requesting your maps to look over to see how this or that was achieved. specifically things like rocks, terrain and entity setup's. (maps not bsp files)

most of you old timers know me well enough to feel confident i will not let anyone else see said files.

if you have someplace to upload them, please send me a PM of the link.

specifically HL2 maps.

(looks at agent smith,keved,finger,leperus,reno,etc,etc)

Well my map has some terrain and rocks in there which I have got mostly done. I'll PM you the link.

Me has flashback: how's your boat going? I made one too but it was to complex for HL2 (!!!) so I dumped it . I honestly hope you had and will have better luck than I did.

What about the numerous .vmf examples provided by Valve? I found them tremendously helpful. [addsig]

i am assuming you are referring to some that came with hammer?

dunno yet, haven't looked at a single one.

even when i am home, i still cannot find enough hours in a day to do what i need. :/

I suggest you take a look at them, they are pretty informative. You will probably be taken aback by the number of entities used (hell even lockdown seems rather full of them!) but once the shock has passed there is a lot of good info to gleam from them.

Did you snag the open source pack I released in December? There's not much there, but if anything's of use you're welcome to prod around.

Unfortunately my site got hosed so there's no online download at the moment, but I can upload it to my new site easily enough.

my goodness, hammer totally set itself up. i have never had it do that before.

the amount of vmf files is quite large too.. i see i have my work cut out for me.

and yak.. i see way to much effort in there to waste that map. salvage it.

my apologies then, musta been one of those weeks i was gone. how do you think i scraped up 1,000 bucks since Christmas on my budget

now i feel stupid, but the last i heard you were iffy on this map. :/
