In Half-Life 2, you can either Run (w), Sprint (w+shift), or walk fast (w+alt). I was wondering if the actual speeds of these were adjustable. It seems to me that just about in all games you are moving WAY too fast, as if you haul ass everywhere you move. Granted, this is *usually* most desireable when say, booking from a thrown grenade. However, there are moments when I just want to actually 'walk' or even walk slowly, either when checking out scenery or when I am getting really close to the edge of something and don't want to fall off.
I realize to adjust how fast you move would have to be a hack or cheat, as the engine would not like you to be able to move 300,000 mph (thats 482,803 kph for all you non-American fools) if you so pleased, however I would only need this option to possibly slow down the speed ever-so-slightly at which the game supposedly allows you to 'walk' (alt, by default). Although it is cool that it does actually give you 3 modes of speed, I am just that annoyingly picky about how my game runs. Painkillers' slowest speed of walk in real life would be faster than anyone could sprint....oh well.
So if anyone knows anything about this, drop me a line!
