Yuk, awful game/demo :x Doesn't seem to be as 'clear cut' or interesting/fun as other games of the genre; if you're after this sort of game check out Settlers V (they've decided to rip off AOE too, much to the disappointment of Settlers fans, but they've done quite well with it!)

for someone supposedly as busy as you, how did you find time to render this determination exactly?

demo's are notoriously deficient, i would never base my opinion of a game on one.

sadly, i have been to sick to play this yet, by i hope to remedy this oversight tomorrow.

I've played the demo for around 4 hours I'd guess.

It's very much like the original EE, however, it's very rough around the edges still. The Interface is horrid compared to original EE. If they fix the Interface and how the Epoch Advancement works to be closer to the original EE, it'll be great, however, if they leave it as is, I'll be severely dissappointed.
