Queen of England has recently knighted this ruler of the world's computer empire. So he is also known as "Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire" from now on.
How do you Brits feel about being ruled by a geeky evil American?

Er, he's won an honorary award for his business and charity work, both of which he's done exceedingly well at (by anyone's standard). We're not "ruled" by him in anyway, and I think he deserves it. If anything, I'm hating the government right now for some of their other choices- it's down to them and not the Queen etc. who gets these...

I was just kidding, of course.
I think the Royal Family gets way too much crap from the media. They're really decent people, deserving much more respect.

Heh, that's closer to the truth than anything else
Doesn't bother me if Mr Gates has been made a Knight of the Realm, I feel it should be for Brits only but even then it doesn't really get my back up because it doesn't bestow any great importance on people.
Good kudos for his charity work though, not so sure about his "contribution" to the computing world
Although, the advent of
Windows accelerated the whole market and technology ten fold, so it has
to count for something.
As for the Royals, I don't care much for them - but they don't actually use a great deal of our tax, and bring in revenue from tourism so I guess they're not so bad. Just a little inbred.

He can't call himself "Sir Bill Gates". He gets to call himself "Knight Commander of the Most Excellent
Order of the British Empire".

I don't think it's right to shoot them. It's better to tickle them to death.
