Sounds fine to me - as long as its before 10pm or after 11pm I'm happy (I'm, quite sadly, not willing to miss desperate housewives smiley) to be honest.

I really can't understand how a bsp like so many others can cause these bugs. The problem must be somewhere else, now that I think of it. Maybe the server gets a penetration error at certain intervals of time. The map playtime being fixed and the mapcycle constant, underpass will always be on at the same hours. I believe the fact that the whole thing goes to pot on underpass could very well be a coincidence.

Also, I played alot of underpass these last 3 days on our server and I didn't have to reset the server at all.

Morbid and Resistance have both been taken down. I'd like to see some more new maps up there, but there's been a lack of new, large, quality maps here recently <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif">

my new map will be...well it will probably have some pretty nice combine brushwork, i dont know about the size yet, the layout right now is a bit like island 17 (a tower thing with an rpg, underground passages and such).
you can think of it as a combination of rebar and island 17, but with combine theme xD

i did, and i found out that you typed "looks" two times in a row...nevermind.
i must agree, when i heard that a new valve map was coming and that is was going to be like Xfire, i said "och yay" because i loved Xfire, and i still do, but this looks like the valve dudes got bored and went like "aww f**k that, what about putting a car down there in the dryed out canal thing and then just f**k the rest?" and then valve dude #2 went like "yeah thats a great idea, people will love it because that we are the valve dudes!".
but people didnt, when i was testing it my first impression was "WTF is this crap, but hey, theres a car in the dryed out canal thing".
a wise man once tought me never to put cars in such places.

Andrei, I'm not basing the theory it is the maps on our own server experience, but more the general concensus. Looking on other forums, loads of server admins are complaining about Steamlab and Underpass being the worst offenders for server issues (mostly the physics penetration issue), and they are the only maps I've seen the error occur on.

Resistance and Morbid are just pretty poor playing maps, hence them being removed.

Oh yeah, and given the fact that some moron at valve forgot to link the "hidden tunnel" to the rest of the map, the rating is down to 4/10. Thats -2 points because I didn't think valve were capable of doing something not even the dumbest newbie would do. SHAME ON THEM.

We will be playing 2H2K on the SC server at 21:00 GMT (same as both previous matches). Their map is dm_station17 with FF off, and ours is dm_torque with FF off.

i disagree, i think the dumbest newbie would do something like this, i was once the dumbest newbie (im still a bit newbie, but not so dumb smiley) and i made a map with a hole with a garg and an unwalkable staircase, and then thousands of houndeyes outside, ofcourse it was fullbright and full of leaks, but i was proud of my work, and i have no idea why i was so proud back then smiley

The thing is, you see, most reasonable GMTimes are pretty unreasonable EETimes. And some people actually have to get up early on Mondays. That's why I was kinda thinking of Saturdays and, perhaps, Fridays.

This map is unfinished, but most definitely playable. It is a members map, and is large enough to hold the servers player count at maximum.

I feel it needs added for a new map feel, and it can be considered an extended playtest map if need be.

I was going to switch maps to island17, but it wouldn't let me. in fact of the whole cycle of maps, i only show 3 of them to switch to. don't ask me which 3, thats unimportant. the thing is, there are more than 3 maps nd i cannot see them smiley

am i doing something wrong?

We should have a map playtesting night (at the same time as clan practice night, perhaps? one shows his real skill on a map he's never played before, afterall smiley ) when we play a whole bunch of candidate maps and decide if they should be added permanently into the mapcycle. THAT would be nice.
