Which festivals are you guys going to then? Atm Download is looking best- all huge bands lined up, and Megadeths last EVER UK gig. Also has Feeder, Ozzy Osbourne and many, many more.

Reading/Leeds also looks good, but Download looks a bit better atm.

If I was here, i'd be going to Glastonbury as per usual, the other festivals don't really interest me anymore cos of all the corporatism and restrictions that go with them. Once you've been to Glastonbury, you never turn back, but it's a whole different experience to anything else, and the ethos isn't solely focused around the music.

If I were to go though, i'd go to Reading Festival again - was a blast in 2003, even if it was baking hot ALL the time

Well the Leeds festival is about 3 minutes down the road from me - ?20 for VIP tickets

Dunno if I'll go though - probably just flog the tickets on ebay.

Why only ?20? Leeds one isn't as good as reading though is it, cus you can't camp there etc. [addsig]

I think Leeds has the same deal with camping and stuff as Reading. Read somewhere about last years one that Leeds was a little bit more laid back while Reading was a bit more musically snobby (50 Cent and Rasmus got bottled off).

Download looks well good this year (sunday headliners woah). Nice to see JJ72 up there (does anyone still like them? ). Snickers stage looks well good, The Used and MCR

Having said all this I probs wont be going to any festival unless I can change my gf's musical tastes, and get a nice hotel room and hot baths

Spikers just leave your woman at home! Thats what I did last year! They just ruin the whole experience.

? quoting SpiKeRs
Reading was a bit more musically snobby (50 Cent and Rasmus got bottled off).

Anywhere that bottles 50 Cent off is a damn fine place to be, in my books. And that's not musical snobbery, but just a general dislike of untalented f**ktards who can't do much except incoherently mumble about sex. I'm sorry, but if you're going to a festival you're there for the musical talent, not to grind against your fellow moshers.

aha, I agree to a point, 50 cent was a terrible choice for a rock festival imo and i personally dont like the rasmus either, but some peeps will have payed good money to see them at the festival

My mate is trying to talk me into Leeds but I don't know if I can be bothered. I'd rather see a band up-close than half a field away [addsig]

Silly Hawkins, festivals are easier to get close to the bands in compared to normal gigs. [addsig]

Bah, I never get to go to concerts or festivals. Northern Ireland sucks so far as gigs go, and forces always conspire against me (more specifically my wallet) any time people are going down south. Like when Velvet Revolver were playing in the Point in dublin.

Funny how V Festival tickets sell out in 90mins, yet Reading and Download still have tickets available on the gates on the day... I reckon it's lies- ticket companies probably buy the tickets and then the main one says "OMG WE SOLD OUT IN 90 MINUTES!"

Bulls**t, you couldn't get 100,000 people on the phone lines in 90 minutes!

Glastonbury 2004 had like 1 million people in an hour (combined website and phones). Completely screwed the telephone and internet networks, and tickets were gone in 4 hours - all 112,500 of them. That's not counting the VIP tickets and nigh on 40,000 staff/bands/traders who went too!
