Actually, the only God-Awful SW movie is Attack of the Clones. Phantom Menace is good except for Jake Lloyd. He sucks so bad. Just imagine how awesome it would have been if he wasn't annoying and did everything he did on purpose.

But, whatever. Revenge of the Sith will be pretty good just because Lucas isn't calling it, "The Creeping Fear" ... his original idea for a name.

In fact, Attack of the Clones would have been better if it was called Clone Wars. And there are good parts in AotC, such as the underwater city = awesome. Other then that though, it was so bad.

Also, the acting in the original three isn't that good ... I believe no one was really "acting" as well. Lucus didn't define the characters before he cast them ... I think that may be the problem with the newer movies. I still don't understand how he made THX1138 though.

I think this'll pan out like the Alien movies. Everyone hated (and still does hate) Resurection, when in actuality, not taking in the last 20 minutes, it's the best of the four. [addsig]

I couldn't find anything on the web, but at the graduate recruiting weekend I went to in Seattle, they told us that there is already some crazy guy waiting at the theater there to get his tickets! [addsig]

I thought Phantom Menace was poor, AOTC was ok, if only for the big battle scenes and stuff, but it didnt have the magic of the original trilogy.

The trailer looks well good though, but I guess thats what trailers are meant to do. This should be the best of the new trilogy imo because the whole plot is a lot darker, though I think it will probably be spoilt by the over the top animations and stuff again.

Im a bit of a sw nut, Im really excited to see the sentence "you dont know the power of the dark side" explained , and looking by that trailer we get to see the emporer show his stuff. Most starwars fans are most looking forwards to the anakin and obi-wan fight but im not for some reason, im expecting that part of the film to drag a little.

I agree the new films havent touched the originals except ROTJ which i find poor except for the last fight, ep1 is ok as it has darth maul in , but ep2 just didnt move the story on enough for me and left too much to be told in ep3.

Yeah, Lucas should've stopped after the first three movies. Just like the Matrix should never have had sequels to ruin its name. The original Matrix was such an awesome movie, but the next two left such a bad taste in my mouth that I am still a bit nauseated from their effect.

And I think they should have stopped making Star Wars games after X-Wing Alliance and the original Jedi Knight game. I don't know if anyone else has noticed what a load of crapola most of the newer Star Wars games have been, with the exception of a few.

KOTOR rocked, tho.

I love the trailer, especially the tiny part where palpatine jumps forward to attack Mace Windu (the black dude, Samuel L. Jackson).

Can't wait.

Again another exception there Gorbachev. But apart from those I'd say there aren't too many others, at least ones that had something of a lasting appeal.

The new one is good too... I see a trend...

...a trend of Agent Smith being wrong!

Apparantly Star Wars Galaxies was amazing if you wanted to spend money to play!

Thanks Myrk . I did make allowances for games that I missed and were actually ok.

But I think you've got to agree that most of Lucas Arts new games have been of average quality, especially compared with a lot of other games being released at the same time. I don't know, a lot of games from movies nowadays don't seem to spend the time making a great game, just an average one. It's as bad as the main stream music market, its all about money and quantity, not quality.

Of course a notable exception being the Lord of the Rings games, which are supposed to be really good, though I've never played them. [addsig]

Okay, Lucasarts released some crappy games, but most of them were not in the Star Wars-franchise.

Indiana Jones, that was crap, same goes for Armed and Dangerous.

A lot of the crappy ones were released for the Star Wars franchise, its just they've been lucky that their few successes have outshone them. Of course, most of those releases were mainly console games.

Look, everyone's entitled to their opinions when it comes to games. I might think somethings crappy while someone else might not. It's all about expectations and standards, as well as what people enjoy in games.

Armed and Dangerous is pretty fun actually. One of the decent Lucas games, I think.

But in general, LucasArts just has some of the worst code EVER. I don't understand why either. [addsig]

Lol...

I thought that Rogue fighter game was cool, one where you fly an X wing and do some classic gun down shooting. Think you got to fly the millenium falcon through a tunnel of red lasers too

Have to agree on the film -> game franchise. Half the time the game is out before the film! (Constantine being a good example).
