I agree. Each site would rate its own submitted maps and then take the top 5 and submit those in the contest. Then a nuetral third party would be the judges of the maps.
Here's a link to interlopers by the way. http://forum.interlopers.net/viewtopic.php?t=1961

Not sure I have time for it at the moment, though I'd perhaps have a bash at something small if a contest did make an appearance.

How about just generally comparing the map output of both sites, rather than having some big showdown? (such a thing isn't worth it either unless there's loads of press coverage and ladies fawning over me)

There is no stunt and there is no "contest". Spartain just made a thread on each forum without even checking with anyone.
Nothing to do with us.

I'm trying to put together a huge newbie tut. There just isn't enough time in the day though!

Before you make a newbie tutorial, make sure it starts from the beginning and does something fairly basic but interesting. Also feel free to split it up over multiple tutorials rather than having one ?ber-tut.
/remembers to let tutorials be 'saved for later' :/

but I digress... are we going to do this contest or not? maybe we should just have a team death match on our server and see who is better at playing the maps.

Oh, thanks for the pimp too, Mike-O. I reckon there's at least a dozen you should have linked before me, though.
