Wales survived some anxious moments to claim their first Grand Slam since 1978 with a historic victory in Cardiff.

A deserved and long awaited win, and full grand slam for Wales. The Ireland side had the potential to ruin the winning streak and deny us the Grand Slam, but on the day sloppy errors and tension got the better of any coherence the Irish needed to put a dampener on the Welsh charge to glory. Tries from Jenkins and Morgan out of the blue helped give Wales the cushion and security they needed, despite a slight Irish resurgence in a second half which saw both sides constantly being verbally warned by the referee for scrappy, and tense scrums.
A fantastic and varied tournament which saw France and England sidelined, ready for the Celtic nations to battle it out - and inject international rugby union with the zest it needed.
In reverse order, those fantastic results that helped us win our rightful crown
Wales 32 - 20 Ireland
Scotland 22 - 46 Wales
France 18 - 24 Wales
Italy 8 - 38 Wales
Wales 11 - 9 England
I'll shut up now
