so the joy of the snarkpits' return is tinged with the sad news that the evil one himself is off on the first leg of his world domination tour, neglecting his snark related duties in the selfish pursuit of beer and sheilas. shame on him.

anyway, to mark his departure, i've penned (regurgitated) a little verse.

*/me clears throat*

there was a young welshman named Gwil

in Australia his dreams he'd fulfill

but he got off the plane

and was heard to exclaim

'How the f*ck did I get to Brazil?'

hehe gwil today--->

gwil next week---->

all the best Gwil, and make the f**kin' most of it man.

Dunno if Gwil's bags are packed or not, but mine certainly are. I have been stuck in Denver Colorado since Saturday morning. They just now got my bus fixed. I don't know whether to be releaved or remain pissed off that it took so long. It was only a stupid power steering hose.

Everyone I talked to said that I should consider it a vacation, but vacations are things you chose to take, they are not forced upon you.

Anywho's I am more than ready to depart, and actually look forward to morning. Before you ask, I am waiting because the motel room is 60 bucks a day and I damned sure want my moneies worth.

The saddest thing of all? I have been here all week and the Pit comes up today. Worse, I wonder just how many people do not know the new URL.

Poems.. Hmmm

"John Gwilym"

Somehow, that seems poetic enough for any one of us.

Indeed you will be well missed Gwil, but provided you have the best of times nobody will begrudge your absence. I wonder if this next year will be a slow one for political debate at the snarkpit? I can only hope Hope you have a wonderful trip, and check in when you can but only if you've nothing better to do [addsig]

G'day cobbers I dunno what to say, little bit tipsy, naturally 'cos it's my last few nights in Britain, and as an internet regular I'm sitting here at a loss for words TBH - the internet has been my best friend for months (hello saddo!), and i'm truly gonna miss the idle nights of sitting and chatting about socio political issues, arguing about bread, banning people (powertripper!) etc etc. I've made some good friends, earnt a few enemies and grudges - but it was worth it. All I can say now is.. have a good year, everyone (a particular few i will "pray" for) - and I'll keep regular updates on ye olde website www.gwil.org from me and my travelling buddy. I hope people read it, and I more than hope to stay in touch. We have a good, friendly, active community established here and it would be a big hit to me if I were to never speak again. And cheers for the poem fisheye, another good one - I think you have missed your true calling in life!? Word up geezers, this will be one of my last posts.. and how memorable it is *cough* Heh [addsig]

Looking forward to it mate smiley.

You've picked a good time to come, as its winter you'll be able to aclimatise somewhat to the temperature before we slide into summer. Apart from that just watch out for the drop bears, bloody little buggers, shredded my best shirt the other day and tore me a few choice new holes smiley.

All the best, mate. If you get lonely, don't forget New Zealand isn't a kick in the arse away, and full of sheep. :P
