Oh, and FYI- the term Pagan derives itself from Latin, and literally back then meant country-side or country-dweller. In modern times, the term pagan has come to only encompass a religion that isn't a direct subsect of any of the major religions (Judaism, Christianity, or Islam). AKA, a religion that existed within a small sub-sect of a population living out in the boondocks.

So no, not all religions are "pagan," orph :P

And honestly, who the hell in their right mind would buy that action figure, Lep? I can't tell who they're trying to market the damn thing towards, but it's failing on all counts. [addsig]

This isn't an arguement over homosexuality, it's everyone ridiculing the stupidest action figures ever created, either because they're offensive to the people they're trying to portray or because they're just, er, stupid.

On topic about the jesus doll -
Christianity is losing its popularity. Kids, where I come from, dont believe in God. They should sell him with a jet-pack or a jesusmobile though, no kid wants an action figure that lacks action.

first, if you are talking to me personally, you have never ever seen me say "lower race. its truly insulting to even suggest it.

secondly assuming Jesus was real, he could very well have been of the gay persuasion, i dunno. his actions tend to lend credence to such an outlook.

thirdly WTF does that have to do with my comment at all? Americans have literally "Whitened" Jesus. his portrails have all drifted away from his origin and now is a classic White version of his former self.

Anywho's, I take offense to any comments that suggest that I am racist in any way. Please refrain from quoting me, out of context. smiley

One: Orph Never said anything about them being a lower race. And Second it What does this have to do with a freakin DOLL?

As for the gay thing.. In Jesus Times from what I have read there was no real GAY ideal back then. If you thought that boy was cute and you had sex.. it was sex.. nothing more. Gay is a Modern Term.

Orph just said he was tired of people portraying Jesus as some White Boy from Texas.. instead of the Jewish person he was. He is looking at it from the historic point of view.. what the people in that region looked like, compaired to the modern Jesus we have today, the two just dont mesh.

*EDIT Doh looks like Orph also got to this one... lol sorry.

My point was Orphs previous posts (older threads, referring to his homophobia) surely if you suddendly paint Jesus other than the nice European chap the Vatican/Other supposed Christian churches like to think he is, you're losing the main point of you white, European religion.

And YES they are...and if you DON'T agree you aren't part of the church in question (wide-sweeping, but fact) if you don't believe EXACTLY what your church does, you are NOT a member.

Sounds to me like you are describing a dictatorship, not a religion. but, whatever floats your boat.

I still think its not very accurate to use Gays as an example to prove your point either. I obviously cannot make you believe that but thats something you will have to work out for yourself as my conscience is clear on all counts.

As I said before, Gays get far more attention than they deserve, stop bringing them into every conversation as if they were the perfect example to prove all things by. smiley

You want to use a "people/group" to use, try the American Indians, try the Jews, try... the uneducated... they deserve it more and they make you look better for doing it.

It is un-natural for two men to have sex with one another.. they are both Tab A's, Givers of the Intercourse. Where as it is perfectly natural for two women to have sex with one another because they are the slots B's or the reciever of the act. Now I am speaking of Sexual parts here, not butt holes and mouths and belly buttons or your eye socket.. only the sexual organs.. Tha Anus is not a sexual organ, even though many people seem to think it is.

Now Mephs if you and your boyfreind wanna play hide the salami, thats all on you, but dont try and force me to belive its ok, or right. In America you have the right to have sexual contact with any other consentual humen of legal age you want, as long as you dont infringe on my rights to do it. If I am standing in your bedroom and you start to have gay sex, then I have the option to leave or pull out a cam corder.

Am I a Homophobe.. no.. I just dont agree wth your life style. Hey My Wife was an Exotic Dancer, she danced on stage and made mucho money, and to some that is just not acceptable.. do I run around with a T-Shirt and a mega phone making screaming Bull-poopy of how your a StripperPhobe. Uhn no im not..

As for Religion, I am not a Christian.. I am a Druid/Pagen, Something the Christians based there entire beliefs on. Jesus couldn't be homosexual because it's a sin in Jewish/Christian culture, and half the point in his story/existence/whatever is that he was sinless?

And mephs, why on earth are you playing the "lower race" flame card? No-one ever said anything about non-caucasians being lower in anyway, and I'm sure that despite controversy here very few people here are racist...
