Here I had thought Snarkpit had gone the way of the Dodo when in fact it just got .neticized. Did it take anyone else nearly as long as me to figure this out?

I was either lucky, or had the forethought to have lep on my msn list. he informed me long before the switch was in effect. (while the .com account was in limbo last)

so... mayhap you should do so as well guys.

well i was on the IRC channel at that time, and i got gwil on my msn list, so i was pretty well informed.

If natus hadn't told me on the server, I would be still staring at the snarkpit.com error 505 screen today.

Whenever the Pit went down, I hung around TWHL for the latest mapping gossip. From the forum at TWHL, I found out about the new URL on the first day the Pit was resurrected.

In fact, I was referred from TWHL to the Pit in the first place (by Captain P).

I spent many weeks going to Snarkpit.com twice a day, when somebody on the Fortress-Forever forums linked to snarkpit.net.

It took me a while to understand that the pit was actually back even though the url had been posted a few times.

heh i stared at that error for a few weeks too, until the thought came up to do a google search. hope it rapidly regains the elan it had in the first HL2 months smiley

lep, could you compare the userlist to a list of people that have signed on since .net went live, and mail old regs that haven't found us yet? i'd be surprised if CCS is the last, and the filtered results might get past the spam police. [addsig]

Lep would have to send out, or post that list as he is not allowed to email so many any more.

Why.. if they are too stupid to find the pit... then they dont deserve to know. =)

I just did a google search for Snarkpit anmd there it was at the top.

I always wondered why you shadowed that thread. Is it that good? I don't mind, its kinda flattering, but it just doesn't sound "Cash Material" somehow.
