I haven't mapped in awhile, and never for HL2DM, but I'd be willing to
do a small section just for the heck of it. If it turns out okay,
I'll post it, if not, well whatever. Yar. Sign me up Doc.

you are somebody! yay.
I'll try and get the forum up ASAP... or maybe this could get a sticky and some chapters?
People tend to dislike signing up for forums.
once I get some kind of forum I will go whore this around to the other editing sites.

Man...I LOVE the site and I love the concept of the map, albeit not original, this seems like it is going to have an original output....I am resisting joining still though....too busy w/ me own maps! (Better for you anyway, most folks think my maps are trash.)
I just love fresh maps. and sandwiches.

Ok, what do you guys think, should I set up a download page with the template map, and just let people pic what area they want to map then have them send it in to me? or should I assign people areas to create?

Have you decided on sizes for each section yet? I think you
should allow people a preference for overall size they're working with,
but it might be easier logistically if you just assigned them out.

I think people should be allowed to make their section as big as they
want to as long as they don't "invade" someone else's section.

I'll post this on the site later, but right now the map is made up of ten sections.
There are two levels that are 512 units high each. most sections are 1024x1024x512
there are a few double wide sections and a few double tall sections.

I'll make a hallway.
But seriously. I'm looking for something small, I'm not a brilliant mapper, although I do know enough to make a good room. I'm just... you know... I want something small...
