So I was running around checking my cubemaps with "Impulse 81" when I accidentally spawned the buggy by typing in Impulse 82. I decided to see if I could find any other useful Impulse commands.

Aside from the basic ones that I think everyone knows (Impulse 101, and Impulse 200 to hide your gun, Impulse 100 for the flashlight, Impulse 50 for the Use key) I found a couple interesting/useful commands.

Impulse 107 tells you the name of the texture you're looking at. I think this is pretty useful, since I can run around and if I see a texture I like in a map I can immediately figure out which one the mapper used.

Impulse 106 tells you what type of prop, the name of it, and the model of what you're looking at.

But the most interesting thing (and the reason I'm starting this thread) is when you type in Impulse 76 it says "You must now restart to use Grunt-o-matic"

Upon restart however, it just says "Attempted to create unknown entity type NPC_human_grunt!" Bummer. I thought I had stumbled upon some sort of easter egg, but I guess this is just a vestige of HL1.

In HL1, it was used to spawn an npc_human_grunt. It's probably just something they forgot to delete when transitioning to Source.

There was no such thing as an "npc_human_grunt" in HL1 (monster_hgrunt) so it's probably just legacy from testing AI earlier :/

Very strange and tbh I noticed a few HL1 things in console which don't work but are there for some odd reason. [addsig]
