There's a bunch of new Q4 screenshots over at Shacknews which look great- I'm hoping there are enough enemies and diversity to make it a blast, and the return of mini-bosses will be greatly welcomed too. Quite looking forward to this one.

Here's an XBox pic- KFS, feel free to tell us what he's called and if he's going to be in the PC version <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_wink.gif">

PC Gamer has that pic I believe (only looked at it in the shop ahem...). Apparently they are just harvester things and dont directly attack you like striders do. Not that there is any similarity to striders or anything...

What I wanna know is, Why do we have an inside man on the Quake project and have to find new screen shots from outside the loop :/

Is there some kind of rule against pre-releasing info on this game of yours Andrew?

I'd never dream of asking you to jeopardizing your job, but... I hate hearing about something late, or even on time when I know someone who has seen these screens weeks/months ago.

/Me continues drooling.

FPS on a console is like oil in water. They just don't mix. PS2 needs to stick to God of War, Gamecube to Zelda and XBox to being lame. Leave 1st person killing to the PCers. Don't get me wrong, that screenie is pretty wicked, but it never looks as good on a TV set 5-15 away. Plus, you don't have as much control over the game in a console as you do on a PC. You have like what, 10 buttons MAX on a console? I have 6 on my mouse....for one hand. It just gets boring after awhile for me it seems trying to play an action game on consoles.

Wait...what is this thread about? Oh yeah....looks cool....keep it PC, folks <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

KFS is only a level designer, and as such is not allowed to release any info on the game unless its already been released by the PR division- geeze, thought you guys would have figured that out!

And Dark tree your a fewl, FPS on Xbox is kickass- I can't imagine playing UC2 on PC, just wouldn't work with the melee mode and such.

Final bitch- I don't like what Raven has done with Quake series, tbh, it doesn't look impressive, and it looks too much like Doom. None of the original escense has been kept. I know, I know, theres a new Makron, but still, the marines look completely different and the levels look like Doom 3 part 2.

Yeah, there's a big thing called 'being fired' I'm not keen on. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> I technically shouldn't even be posting in a thread on it. So don't expect any questions to be answered. :P

That one's a bad shot of a bad angle seeing it from where you aren't supposed to see it.

Try these for a much better impression, and check out the trailer (also available from numerous other sites). The E3 demo will undoubtedly hit shakycam in the next day or two as well.

Well, when/if you can say something without that hanging over your noggin, you better inform us firstest. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

you know, I fully expect a complimentary copy of the game in my mail when this thing is released. you are gonna remember your friends when you are famous.. right? :P

Just how many free copies are you gonna give away Andrew?

I think Orph, it may be more useful for your crazy ideas to get to know someone from sales department so you never have to buy games again lol... Not supporting your friends by buying the game and hence giving them money... tisk tisk.

Myrk, you know my acquisition practices, but you would also be surprised at just how many games I do buy each year.

I have this thing for owning my own copies. As strange as that sounds, I want to have the originals of my favorites. So, even if I acquire a questionable copy in the beginning, you will almost always see the original around shortly afterward.

Just yesterday I bought Empire Earth 2..

Anywho's, I am poor, but I still spend several hundred dollars per year on my PC's. :P

It looks too plastic for me; very hard to take something that looks so fake so seriously. Doom 3 worked because you couldn't see anything.

Trailer wasn't really much; there's a genuine opportunity to create something with depth here, I hope they take advantage of it.

That's killzone 2. It is rendered, or at least not running real-time on the PS3 hardware. It's impressive in motion, though, and on par with Blur's Dawn of War intro cinematic and such when it comes to the action. But not actual gameplay in the least - and if it is, it'd be pretty crappy. :P

That first pic looks pretty nice... perhaps there is still some hope for Q4 and the D3 engine!

Too bad my computer will choke and die on it though.
