After running through Half-Life 2 for another time, I took better pictures than the first round. I knew what to expect, so I could anticipate any breath-taking scenary.

Just want to share my photo album with the rest. I know there are plenty of screenshot threads already (esp. on Steam), but I would like to think that mine is more artistic than most.

Enjoy: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/llyoungmd/my_photos

[Edit] Sorry, I'll try again.

Indeed the shots wern't taken on the fly, or had ragdolls in funky positions. The only thing your album needs is come combat! Maybe take a shot of you fighting a gun ship in the coast!

very nice, I've been playing through HL2 just taking my time looking around. The closer you look though the more mistakes you find.

Think you needed more memerable parts, like the boat speeding bit, talking to Breen when captured, etc.

Yeah, but I found taking pictures in the heat of the battle and steering the airboat quite challenging. I should go back and take more of those shots though.

For all those screenshots, I walked around to pick the best angle to compose my picture. Sometimes I had to stand on top of something to get the perfect composition, and sometimes I had to crouch down. Doing all these in the midst of combat can get me killed (and I've died a few times trying to take a picture of striders).

Perhaps burgeoning photographer can learn from a virtual world like Half-Life 2. It sure saves a lot on travel costs and buying expensive digital camera. Adjusting brightness and contrast using the histogram can be an art form too.

I wish those were bigger!

My favorite moments that you captured were the striders walking and casting shadows and the entrance of FG in Ravenholme. That picture of the trainstation at the end was really nice as well. Nicer than it looks on my rig, that's for sure.

Wow that's pretty sweet as well. I felt the illusion that I was actually playing the game on a nice system.
