I think its #2. He doesn't sound like a disgruntled Gay person IMO.

Having been in the military, I am biased to the core, so I would take my opinions concerning the organization with a grain of salt.

IMO, anyone who has the balls to join without the need to be drafted should get all the perks there is imaginable.

The military of most nations is one of the most unappreciated jobs in the world. So many assholes forget totally that someone sometime had died for everything they have now. Every right, every perk, every damned thing is because of somebody someplace in the military.

/ rant.

I agree Orph. I was in the military as was my wife. I admit I joined up to pay for college, my wife joined up to get some training and to support her family. We both saw over seas action.. Me during the First gulf War, My wife on Rotation way afterwards.

I think its sad that US military people have to rely on Foodstamps to feed the familes and thats as high as E6 pay grade, and that they are paid way below minium wage, something this jack ass does not know. If in the real world like he says the military would have to sepnd way more than it does now to keep a Force of anykind.. no one would join to be under paid and to risk life and limb for no benefits. I also dont think this guy has a clue, because in the US army now Military benefits dont cover 100% medical like they used to.. They are in a HMO type of deal now.. a certain percentage is paid by your health care provider and the other part by the military member. As far as the houseing allowance goes its is no where enough to pay the entire amount in the area your living.. its just to help.. the rest has to come out of militray pay, did I mention thats way below the poverty line. So this guy really has no idea what he is talking about. He is just another hater and I have no doubts will get whats coming to him. And to be honest I dont think there is a court in the land that would convict the person that gives it to him either.

If you disagree in a mature way, I have no issues at all with an opposing viewpoint/perspective on the military.

I know many people who support the military, but have no incentive what so ever in joining themselves. They are respectful and well mannered concerning the job and respect peoples right to be in the military service.

The only people I truly have issues with who go to the extreme in their disdain for it. I am not talking about the people who simply dislike or never even give it a second thought. I am talking about the true assholes who spit on Vet's or just generally treat them like killers. Only a really small portion of the service involves actually taking lives after all.

Oh God. I read over the website and I read over his personnel website and I can say from reading this guy's stuff I already f**king hate him. I can't believe what an asshole he is.

I found this quote on his website.

"that's over five years that my unique and correct opinions have been floating around the net."

He's obviously not being sincere - just looking for attention. He's ridiculous. He couldn't even argue with Sean Hannity.

His message holds some truth, while it is quite wrong to ask that troops pay for everything, it is true that our tax money does support them in some times extreme ways.

With the way war is, almost always there are people who will not and do not support our actions, so why should they pay so much taxes to troops and military? While I do not agree with this, I think that we should use our resources to fix problems internally before we work on the external (think of how much could have been done with the 200+ Billion dollars that was spent on Iraq if it were used to help the homeless or disabled? or put into education?)

But like 99% of people who stand for something he does it the wrong way. His basic message is "Here is what I think, if you dont agree you are stupid". I think its unfair to lash out at him, just like I think its unfair to call members of the military stupid.

I'm sure you could find just as many websites devoted in the same extreme way to support for our troops. Where they call people like Crook names, and call him stupid and call him all kinds of names.

Both sides are no better or worse than the other, Opinions and Ideals, when taken to the extreme, are never helpful and will never lead to any kind of solution because both sides are so closed minded that they will not settle for some kind of middle ground.

I hate it when people use the tax issue as a deciding factor of "eligibility" <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif">

You want to discuss unnecessary tax, well there is an outrageous tax that people of the US never seem to recall, yet pay it daily. Have any of you any idea just how much tax there is on a gallon of fuel? I mean seriously, do any of you realize just how we are raped at the pumps each day?

You go into the store. You buy groceries, you pay on average 8 cents per dollar spent. thats 8%

Same holds true for most other products.

you pull up to the pump and pay 2.00 a gallon, 56-60 or more cents is taxes. thats 25% people.. Thats worse than most credit cards and everyone knows credit cards are the biggest money pit in the world, and me, I thought loan sharking was outlawed. Yeah, right.

If you are gonna dislike something, do not use taxes as a factor. I had to put that puppy to rest ages ago when I found out that churches and religious organizations do not PAY TAXES.. you want to bitch about supporting, bitch about supporting churches.

Oh God, it's sooooo tempting!

I hate it when I am so out of the loop that comments like this just leave me staring at my monitor dully. Having a "deer in the headlight" look while reading a forum is rather uncomfortable. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif">

Sorry Orph. Google-bombing is making a word or phrase entered in Google have a particular result. ie putting in "waffle" and getting the John Kerry site, putting in "miserable failure" and getting the official George Bush profile from the white house etc. See this topic.

What I meant was, it is very tempting to set up a page with various references to this guy so that say, you entered "nutcase" or something like that (depending on your view of it - people have been "reverse-bombed" before so that "great president" gets GWB's profile as well) and got this guys site.

Never mind...
