Just 2 more allusions... The first one is the fact that the Combine have numbered cities, just like the Soviets numbered their strategicaly-important industrial cities, like Arzamas-16. Also, if you take a look at the gas mask that the metrocops are wearing, you might notice that it looks a whole lot like this:

That is a Russian PMG gas mask.
Odd, isn't it?
I would wanna get that gas mask and go to some haloween costume party as a Metrocop, and say things like "Nothing to see here, citizen, move along" hrough a voice-distorter...

Make the rest of the Metrocop costume with some Navy camo jackets and trousers, a pair of black boots and a big stick to hit people with!

Except that no one except hard-core gamers would recognize the origin of the costume. Nevertheless, it doesn't make it any less cool in my eyes.

The whole game is set in the baltics that was under huge oppression from the sovjets.

The one omegaslayer found on eBay looks like the one used by the Sand People from Star Wars.

I want to see a super combine helmat, i'd by that.

I have a... interest... in gas masks, I have three already and would love some combine looking WWII erea masks.

It would be really cool to set up a system of LEDs in the mask that made the eyes glow.

I went to our market today and checked it and voil? - I found it! It costs about 10 bucks, converted to dollars, so I decided to get it. Alas, i couldn't find a digicam to take a shot of it.
It is like so cool... I look just like a metrocop.

just kidding... Over at Gmod forums, combine-on-zombie-on-zombie-on-Alyx-on-D.O.G. pr0n is a daily norm. so yeah.

Hey madedog, would there be a way for you to send one of those masks over here to the US? I was born in Russia and my gramps had a couple of gasmasks, but not the badass ones like the ones we're discussing... I dunno if its possible, but if you could, I'd prolly pay ya back...
