Well I cracked open Firefox and I got bored so I punched in the Snarkpit address and then there was this nuclear explosion and US marines and everything... and weird flying sausers and grey guys saying "Take me to your dealer" and stuff...

And after all that, the homepage of Snarkpit appeared on my screen.

Yea Nick's been real busy lately. Heck I havent even finished Half-Life 2 yet (Sorry Lord for I have sinned!!) I've been working a buttload and flying a lot too so it's kept me away from my life. Er... "life". I stuck to the forums over at buddypic and hackthissite. Havent touched HL2 in over a month, and God only knows the last time I opened VHE.

Got a lot of stuff going on right now, but that'll die down soon I hope. To which after that, I'll see about getting into mapping again. Since I havent done so since HL2 came out. (me checks profile)... Last release over a year ago.

But yea, I figured I'd drop by and say "Yes, Im still alive!" And now Im going to bed.

Some people are like slinkys...

They aren?t really good for anything, but you can't help but laugh when one tumbles down the stairs.

Im doing my night rating right now, and cant complain much about that. Flying at night is beautifull. I was doing circuits at the Ottawa Intl airport last night about a hour before my original post. Nothing is more fun than landing in behind a 737 and in front of a A320.

"A320 flight number (bla bla, I forget) base number 2 for runway 2 5 behind a Cessna 150 short final doing a touch and go"

Yea, flying is great. Its the bills that arent. *looks at logbook*

April: 4th, 12th, 15th, 19th, 22nd, 22nd, 26th
May: 3rd, 6th, 9th, 16th, 16th, 20th, 22nd, 25th, 27th, 30th, 31st
June: 3rd

Bill so far: (without counting June 3rd flight) 2810.75$

And now Im going back to the airport. But I'll be sure to be checking around. I'd like to release at least one map before Half-Life 3 rolls around.

Cessna 150's and Cessna 172's currently. I did my training over the summer in Cessna 152's.

Currently Im checked out on all 3 types.

T'is nice to see some familiar faces, TB, Cass, and ReNo. Im assuming Lep and Gwil are still the uberlords... With ReNo being the new head honcho, congrats on the green glowing nametag <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

What about the rest of the crew? Doc, Money, Orph, Yak, KFS, and the rest of em. Those fellas still around?

ReNo... and the gang, any new maps? Or anything I could lend a hand with?

Thanks mate DocBrasso is still lingering around here and there, Money's posting new threads like there is no tomorrow, Orph is (naturally) still the life and soul of the snarkpit, Yak's been fairly quiet as of late, and KFS like the busy worker bee that he is pops his head in from time to time Gwil's currently buggered off to the other side of the world (ie. Australia/New Zealand - read all about it here), meaning IRC is really feeling rather quiet

On the map front, the big things at the moment are Dr.Glass's community "mosaic" project (something you might wanna look into if you don't have a great deal of time for mapping), and of course this year's snarkpit mapping contest.

Hey, nice to see you!

So how different are the flying procedures in the States comapred to those in europe? I do a lot of online flying with ATC and all the stuff, and i heard from someone whom flew in the US with a cousin that the procedures are different. Do you over there use the ICAO system? And how are the ground procedures?

Its Canada dude :P But yes, it is ICAO standards. But procedures are still a little different from the US, as far as I know.

MoneyShot, I do have the lava section still. Something I can return to you and you could port over for an empty space on that mosaic.

So, how are those rules compared to europe, and are there any green fields with no atc?
