There is Audacity, which is free, but has very poor preview functions -- there is also Creative Wav Studio which is loaded on to your hardrive if you have any kind of desent Creative Sound Card, I think.

Then we have GoldWave -- the king of the bunch. You'll have to buy him though -- if you still want GoldWave, you can try him out for up to 3000 commands. Hang on a second while I hunt down a link for audacity.

Hmm, I reckon things have changed a might since I was a young'un.. I would never have imagined basing my relationship with a female on the outcome of a movie date.

Perhaps we should compare notes sometime on exactly what we think constitutes a successful relationship, and how long a time it takes to determine that your partner was the correct choice. Course it more than likely would only involve married folks here but still, I would find it particularly interesting.

I suppose, but think of this.. If you met me today, without our history, would you feel the same way?

Sometimes information is helpful, often its not. Mainly because some information is given more power than it is justified. For instance, how would you feel if you met someone who was not racist, but felt that mixing races to create offspring was wrong?

Now understand, they are not the same thing. In most cases its not the mixing of the races but the worlds views of the action. The children often have to pay a horrible price for the parents decision to create them. This is not fair, but its real and the children often have to deal with it.

What I am trying to say is, sometimes information leads to erroneous thinking.

Yeah, that girlfriend didn't last too long, even though she's one of the nicest person I've dated. Her views are just too conservative for me.

But movies aren't everything. My fiance doesn't like many of my favorite movies, including "Moulin Rouge" and "Minority Report". We do share a few good movies in common, as "When Harry Met Sally" and "Pulp Fiction". We love the same music--old-time jazz and blues.

I do feel a special connection to those who admire "Moulin Rouge", nevertheless.
