Hey folks.

I just thought I'd make an offer to all of you who need a place to host your map/mod. I know it can be hard to find a place to host a large file sometimes, so I thought I would offer this as an alternative. I am currently trying to improve my website skills and would enjoy more pages to work with! I know my site isn't as shnazzy as...well...ANYbody else's site here, but I just thought I would offer anywhoo.

Also, as a bonus, I will make a page JUST for each of your profiles (as shown HERE) and a separate page for each of your maps. I currently host 4 different mappers (myself included, of course) and am looking to expand.

This is of course a free service to you folks, in part because you as a community have helped further my mapping abilities as well as basic computer knowledge. I will pimp each and every one of your maps with pictures n stuff to the best of my ability with screenshots you provide me with or I can take myself.

I update every now and then and I plan on changing the way the map pages are setup. The webpage obviously needs a lot of work and you can see I am nothing special when it comes to coding, but if you can get past the amateurish design, feel free to give me a buzz!

So generous of you to make this offer. I was just thinking about the abundance of generosity at the SnarkPit tonight while driving back from work. So many people devote countless number of hours in tutorial, forum advice, and not to mention mapping.

This overflowing generosity is what makes the Pit such a wonderful place to be. It gives me hope to mankind that such place exists.

Yeah, I agree with satch. It sounds pretty good, but I'm not sure I could contribute much. I've got quite a few not-too-bad maps for ye olde HL1, but I'll probably go months/years even before releasing another map. I also doubt I'd keep stuff up to date, at one time I was hosted by Vash but he pulled my hosting because I never updated... would that be an issue?

Though I won't need this service, as I have a pit (), I'd like to chime in my appreciation for your eagerness to help out. You're a True Snarkpitican Hero.

By "update" I mean add content. If you did host me, I would rarely add stuff to your site. Looking at your site, however, it looks like just a place to store/show off maps, which would be good for me.

This overflowing generosity is what makes the Pit such a wonderful place to be.

Snarkpit could have been exactly like any other website. You can thank its current roster I suppose, but you should really thank its original roster, meaning people of less than 100 member numbers.

I am not attempting to say that the current membership is unimportant, but more attempting to say that the original members set the groundwork and atmosphere that drew the current members today.

That is not to say we did not have bad members early on, but thankfully the good members were determined to not allow the site to degrade into "Normalcy" or what is more normal for all the other Half-Life sites.. "Elitisms"

I will always be grateful for the core members who are still around. THEY deserve your praise.. I would never have remained had I not been surrounded by such as they. (for those of you whom wish I had not, blame them)

/me bows to such good examples.

[edit] I am revising my comment to say, any core members who joined '01 and '02... those are the real hero's.
