I've been out on the internet and there have been a lot of mixed reviews about this. I never played the first one, so I wouldn't know. I guess I'll give it a shot.

Ok I got it and played it, very fun but my computer (I think ram or CPU) is slow.

I love the feeling of the game though. I drove up to a controle point with 2 other team mates, we all jump out of the jeep, run along this will, sprint across this court yard and jump behind a small wall and took the controle point. It felt just like 'black hawk down'.

I also had alot of fun running down bad guys in the jeep.

Yay it stoped crashing when it lists the servers today so i had a few games online and its way more fun.

A couple of hint's here, there is a tweakguide for BF2 here : http://www.tweakguides.com/BF2_1.html

and

BF2 Hack :Unlock Weapons :Unlimited Single Player time

No time Limit Single Player

navigate to:
C:Program FilesEA GAMESBattlefield 2 Demomodsbf2pythongamegamemodes

open the file gpm_cq.py with notepad

find the line:
Code:
host.registerHandler('TimeLimitReached', onTimeLimitReached, 1)

change it to read:
Code:
#host.registerHandler('TimeLimitReached', onTimeLimitReached, 1)


Simple as..time limit will count down but not end the map at 0.



Unlock weapons
*works in single player and lan games, will work online *IF* the server hosting *AND* all the clients have the same hacked python file.

navigate to:
C:Program FilesEA GAMESBattlefield 2 Demopythonbf2stats

Open the file unlocks.py with notepad

find the line:
Code:
defaultUnlocks = [0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0]

change to:
Code:
defaultUnlocks = [1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1]

Anyone know how to get the 32 player map working in singleplayer? I tried connecting to a server once, but my ping was so appauling I gave up all hope.

the 32 player version of the map for single player isn't included with the demo. So its impossible.

BF2 has consumed all my time, I just can't stop playing.

201 Bots in Single Player, you need a beast to handle the AI calculations though, heh.

Thats the result of a group of us in Dimension 3 forums getting in and hacking the .AI files. (found in ..modsbf2AIaidefault.ai)

Well guys, I'm almost done downloading it. I endured a power outage in which I lost the download. Therefore, in 1 and a half hours, I'll have it! Oh boy I can't wait.

I found one called "cafe of the rabid snark" it even had a picture of a hl1 snark on the banner! alas I didn't get the ip

Damnit. Thanks anyway. I guess I'll leave it to rot on my hard drive until the summer then, although by then the full version will be out.

Had it for a few days and I simply love it, can't stop playing it.
And it runs well on my nvidia GeForce FX5700 <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

I'm completely hooked! I need to find a bunch of people I can play with, because I desperately want to airlift to the top of the hotel with some buddies and set up shop... a la Dawn of the Dead.

I'll be the medic... all I need is a good sniper, pilot, and support guy.

I can't get on Multiplayer. IT says "creating account" for hours and never does anything. Oh well, I've played the single player at least 50 times and it's not getting old <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

I love to be medic, but I'll be sniper for you. All the effects and stuff just rock my world, the game is SO imersive...

Try retreiving the account with the same information you used to create it. That should work.

I like the Sniper, and the engineer.. Special Forces guys rock if you want to take out radar and stuff ike that.. because they can lay down the charge and blow it.

Im a horrid pilot.. but I can drive really good. I guess I will be the Engineer or the Sniper or the Special Forces op.

what server and what time.. im game!

Or MSN me and we can hook up.

How would I go about doing that? When I click multiplayer all I can do is create an account. Hmmmmmmmm
