I'd be able to map, as well as model props. I don't do characters, just props. *shudders at memory of horred stick person*

Heh why not work together and make a map for the competition " SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">
It is an interesting idea but a vast majority are mappers ranging from ok to pro.
I'm sure this could work well provided people stop saying it will be cool and actually make it cool " SRC="images/smiles/icon_wink.gif">
I'm sorry and I wish I could help but I have my attention towards www.nightfallmod.net
Anyone here live in australia? There is a gameshow over there and you can watch a demo of it there.

Although pirates vs. ninjas is vaguely original, I would rather gnaw my own hand off than play that sort of thing. Maybe it's just me (actually, it's almost definitely just me), but I look at it this way:
Die Hard is cool. Bits of Star Wars are cool. Rugrats are certainly not cool. If you have an excess quantity of mappers and are doing a cartoon pirates vs. ninjas mod, I'll volunteer to be the first to go I'm afraid.
Sorry to be so damn boring/cynical/whatever, but this really isn't my sort of thing.

Which reminds me, the second half of this year I will be building a basic mod for my major graphic design project. How did I convince my lecturers to let me make a game for a graphic design course you might ask, well I'm sure some of you could figure it out

I've wanted to turn my Pacman maps into a full-blown mod for ages, but don't have the coding skills to do so " SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif"> Anyone who's played 'Pacman Vs.' on the Gamecube will have a pretty good idea of how great it could be.

1 Mapper 20
I'm sorry to say this but don't get your hopes up. Without atleast 1 coder this mod will be nothing more than a map pack.
Posted by Madedog on Fri Jun 24th at 12:22pm 2005
Perhaps, if we could get some coders, we would be able to create a killer Single Player mod (don't know the topic, though, but I believe something surrealistic would be cool).
So... think about it... 20 maps are enough for a MP mod at first (if one mapper would create one map), but SP requires a lot more. And I suggest to do something connected with combines...
But again.. right now it's only a dream, we NEED at least 1 coder, Andrei is right, and the more the merrier. My C++ skills are bad, so I am not in as a coder. I know couple C++ pro's but they are not in snarkpit
