Satch-
I'm back after about 3 months to tell you "Congratulations" Your wife is very beautiful. If i didn't know any better, I'd say she's asian! (ASTERIX!) I kinda have a thing for asians, but not your wife because that's just plain disrespectful to say that, and I like you and I dont want you to get all pissy at me.
I hope you have a great life and that you don't have marital problems like my dumbass brother.
Also, off subject but maybe of interest: I may be starting my Pre-med next year. Kickass.
In the Asian spirit, I wrote you a Haiku:
The warrior bows
ancestors smile down on him
as he proclaims love.
That's about as asian as i get... have a good one!

Hey, thanks for the Haiku, Nikelplate.
And good luck on your pursuit of the M.D. It certainly wasn't an easy road, and I am glad that I came out from the other end of it intact. So many drop out in the grueling process.
But then again, I believe mappers in general are more intelligent and more motivated than the general population. So I think you definitely have an edge over most premeds.
And along the same line, I think mappers have enough sense to keep a marriage together.
Ain't I the optimist today.

I *****, take you *****, to be my wife, my partner in life and my one true love. I may not be a knight in shiny armor, but you can count on me to be by your side when we storm all the castles together. You are my guiding light when I get lost; you are my true North. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward.
-----
The storming castle part is an insider joke between my wife and I. She always says "Have fun storming the castle" before I leave for work. The True North bit was from a movie--"Message in a Bottle". I know it's a lame movie, but I like that line. The rest of the vow was concocted from various inspiration I found on the internet.
