-=(AYB)=- is recruiting we play all sorts of games. I had just joined about a week ago and the people are nice and when we play games such as HL2DM Team DM they work as a team or CS:S they work as a team. Give it a look see at clanayb.tk click on the fourms go to "Coming Into the fourms" then "joining the clan" and copy the things they want and go back to the "General" fourms and post there. But seriously, I deserve some sort of an explanation. I know full well what a clan is, I wanna know what exactly was "rude" and WTF is "All Your Base"?

My comment was pointed at the community at large, so it was intended as inoffencive...

"All your base" is a famous quote from an old computer game called "Zero Wing". It featured horrible translation, and one of the lines was "All your base are belong to us!", which has since become a sort of cult quote. Personally, I don't think posting on MB's is the way to recruit. I would probably only ask regulars who play on the clan server to join. I mean... is there a skill requirement for your clan?

Are you required to recruit X amount of people to get promoted or something?

Ok, I'll explain. I said how rude, because of two reasons.. this joker came in here and asked us to join his clan, I gather with out first clearing it with any Snarky Admins.

If I also understand there is a Snark Server and a snark clan.. I maybe wrong on that, but to go on someone elses forums and recruit is a rude thing to do.

How would he like it if I went to his clan site and started to post hey Join the Pryde.. blah blah blah.. he wouldn't and I bet I would either be banned from the forums, or asked to not do that in a manner I would not soon regret.

So I repeat how Rude.

As for the All your base.. yeah read RENOs post.. and follow that link that sums it up nicely.

Hope that helped clear that up ORPH.

EDIT: As for the Please delete this thread.. and the Dont need this BS, you should of never started it.. this is where the snark peeps start to spank you for posting this.. as I explained in paragraph 2.

Actually, I was endeavoring to keep the thread moving.. I didn't really care about someone being rude, I just was curious as to "how"

Threads like this die to quickly IMO, so I was trying to spark some interest.

Seriously though, even with the explanations, I still do not care nor understand so.. *shrugs*

I see nothing wrong with recruiting members, but I agree with the comment about getting them from a server.. You get a better feel for them that way. You can be a poor fragger, but be good hearted while doing so.. Forums do not really give you a true view of the people.

As I said though, all I really wanted was to give the thread a boost.. It seemed to be dying. :/

Its not like he is some total random who just showed up purely to recruit for his clan though Moneyshot - he's been here a while. This isn't really the sort of forum where people need to ask permission to post such things either; we aren't a "clan" website, so its not really taboo for a clan to come here and seek players. Sure, we do have an HL2DM clan, but we are very inactive and informal, and if people wanted to go into a more active and competitive clan, there aren't going to be any hard feelings or attempts to stop them. As their clan are also multi-game oriented, its not really in direct competition with our, as stated, informal HL2DM clan.
