Do you have any idea how many times the EU has thrown this out? I think the one they proposed about six months ago was the fifth or sixth one. And they said they'd pass a bill if they all weren't made to protect company hording, which is really all a software patent can do, since they proved software is copyrightable. It is pretty bizarre to patent software (it basically says that no one else has the right to replicate your software, doesn't say anything about protecting your rights though) And when it comes to things like this, if you're actually just looking for a way for your own survival, all you'd need is copyrights.

I like to think that America helped in showing how not to go about patent work. Your welcome.

Blame it on Microsoft, God does.
