part of my point, normal wizards seem not to have any spells that can kill of injure or be able to use any. when fighting with someone who is trying to kill you you should have a right to defend yourself adequately.

but maybe im just analysing it too much

Not exactly, during Crouch's reign aurors were permited to kill any oppositon using the exact same curse Voldemort attempted to kill Harry with.

I myself have about 30 pages left. I still think that Dumbledore was kinda gyped out of his life. I mean if R.A.B wasn't such an asshole...... O welll

*spoiler*

I've heard that RAB is sirius' uncle, can't remember his name but it begins with "R". It makes sense that the thing that they couldn't get off the wall at 12 g.p was the one that he took and replaced at the lake.

I think R.A.B is Regulus Black who was a death-eater and was killed on Voldemort's order. If you remember at the beginning of book 5 Sirius and the rest of the lot came over a heavy locket no-one could open while cleaining the Black House *hint hint hint*.

I finished this book yesterday. The author leaves a bit to deal with in book #7. I was actually in tears by the last chapter. Silly really. Its just a book.

It was no shock when he died, I knew it would happen even before starting to read book 6. What I couldn't anticipate was who the murderer would be and my jaw literally dropped on the table when I discovered who it was.

RAB could in fact be Dumbledore, who says his first name is 'Albus' that could be his middle name and the reason for doing the thing with Potter was part of an overall master plan.

just a theory.

Well I still think RAB is Regulus Black and that he hid the locket in the Black Family House.

Dumbledore, the genius, prattles on about how "magic leaves very distinctive traces" and then three seconds later he, oops, drinks an untouchable killer potion without any way of knowing it wouldn't kill him on the spot and then takes a trinket that apparently has no magical properties. Dumbass.

hmmm when I posed it I thought it might be a spoiler (look in my last post). But there's also something else which I can't remember exactly which couldn't be moved from there.

You said RAB was his uncle and I said it was Regulus Black, his younger deceased brother who was a death eater. I just made the connection between his name and the locket that Sirius couldn't open, locket that he found whilst cleaining his place up. Not really a spoiler if you ask me.

Hmm... indeed, that might be true... the locket might really contain one Horcrux.
But as for the others... hmm
I have a sense of feeling, that the other one might be hidden somewhere in Riddle's grave... i am talking about Voldemorts dad. The place he was reborn?

Wait a second... Room of Requirement! What if one Horcrux is hidden inside the RoR!? Remember, when Harry tried to hide Snape's old schoolbook (you know what I'm talking about) in the RoR, into a closet-type of thingy, he saw something there! Couldn't it have been a Horcrux? I doubt it is so badly secured, but why the heck not!
