Yea, we had a discussion about it before. They replaced hell with a virus and marines with some stupid thing, dont ask me.
/edit: At least they have now decided that it would take place on Mars.

The whole Gordon not talking part wouldn't play out too good though.

The site is fake- why would they link to IGN?! I mean IGN!?! Who in the real world out of PC's knows what IGN is anyway! And the site is so amateurish- either this film is really low budget, or its a fake website.
I don't understand the controversy with the whole hell thing- Event Horizon was about hell taking over a spaceship, and thats recognised as an amazing horror film. I hate the way film people turn these films to whatever they want- despite what its made for. Doom film should be a horror film, not an action film!

Doh!
/me crawls under a rock
Missed that that link got posted...
Also, @ azelito: Even D3 was at its core an action game. And prior Dooms were nothing but straight-up action. Makes sense to me. *shrug*

Theyre most likely making the movie less scary so that it wont pass the 18+ rating.

I thought all of the press releases were:
"DOOM, NOT ON MARS AND NO HELL!"
Didn't they just show mars and say "Mars" in the trailer? Did an outcry make them just like redub every scene when they say "billtonia" and have the FX guys retexture all of the planet models? I'm really confused....
and this has to be the first trailer I've ever seen with NO MUSIC. It's just weird, I'm expecting some annoying rock song to start at any second, and it's painfully lacking.
